Abstract : The problem of a multilayered dielectric-loaded infinite corner reflector is formulated by the boundary value technique and the far field related to the geometrical and electrical dimensions of the corner and the concentric dielectric slabs. The axial gain and normalized radiation resistance are compared with the unloaded case for single and multilayer arrangements. In all cases of loading, a broadbanding effect in the frequency response of the radiation resistance is observed. In addition, improvement in the axial gain is obtained with multilayer loading, although further improvement may be possible with proper optimization of the dimensions and permittivities of the slabs as well as the source location.
