Abstract : Detailed calculations of the coupled equations of nonequilibrium flow and the relevant molecular energy-exchange processes, have been carried out for a continuously operating CO2 gas-dynamic laser system. Power outputs of about 100 kW/m length of nozzle throat at 1 percent efficiency with a small signal gain of 1/m are predicted. (Author)
