Abstract : The purpose of the document is to summarize the Federal Aviation Administration's policies, requirements, goals and criteria for development of a National Aviation System (NAS) over the next 10 years. This NAS Policy Summary thus represents the agency's most current thinking with regard to the missions and objectives set forth in the Federal Aviation Act and related statutes. As currently projected, the Plan is substantially oriented toward facilities and functions. (Author)
