Abstract : A computational procedure to obtain smooth contours from discrete input data is presented. Contours are tracked, using traditional root-finding methods, across a piecewise doubly cubic spline surface. A FORTRAN program implements this method and runs in under 80K bytes storage. Representative graphical results are included. (Author)
