Abstract : A multitude of philosophical and methodological publications have appeared, in which attempts are made to discover the foundations of structural analysis and its significance for individual branches of scientific knowledge. Many authors concerned with structural analysis make very frequent allusion to Bourkai, who discovered its significance for the science of mathematics as early as three decades ago. Unfortunately, some of these authors do not always expose Bourbaki's idea accurately. In the study an attempt is made to examine his idea in relation to so-called 'mathematical structures' and at the same time draw some conclusions which have a definite methodological and scientific import.
