Abstract : The report contains a summary of problems investigated related to High-Altitude Plasma Physics. References to detailed work in this area are given. The topics investigated fall into four general categories: (1) propagation of, and radiation from, relativistic electron beams, (2) plasma dynamics, shockwaves, and atomic collision processes, (3) plasma turbulence, and (4) theoretical studies. A detailed technical report on experiments simulating the release of artificial plasma clouds in the ionosphere is given. The results of these experiments are in substantial agreement with current theories of the motion and deformation of such clouds. (Author)
