Abstract : Deuteron magnetic resonance spectra have been recorded for a number of deuterated ammonium compounds at 4.2K. The spectra of two of these materials, ND4SnCl6, were narrow (linewidth 4 kHz) in contrast to the broad (linewidth 130 kHz) deuteron spectra of rigid ND4(+) ions observed in most of the compounds. The narrow deuteron spectra are attributed to tunneling. (Author)
