Abstract : Over 1200 hours of simultaneous, interplanetary, solar wind data from the satellites Explorer 33 and 35 are compared statistically. It is concluded that the two satellites sense the same solar wind which is thus homogeneous over a distance scale of at least 140 earth radii. There are, however, systematic differences that are significantly larger than the random differences. These systematic differences are very likely due to small but not negligible calibration errors.
