Abstract : Methods of finding fault detection experiments in twodimensional finite cellular arrays of arbitrarily large size have been discussed. It is assumed that the array is composed of identical combinational cells which are welldefined. The faultnature has been assumed to be very general, i.e., the fault occurring in a cell may alter the cell function in an arbitrary manner. Methods of finding the possible paths of error propagation for detectable faults were developed under the assumption that at most one cell in the array can be faulty at a time. Cancellability of errors and fault equivalence have also been discussed. Finally, an algorithm for testing onedimensional cellular arrays of identical cells without 2outputs is presented. (Author)
