Abstract : The ICAF Defense Management Simulation (DMS) is a computer-based simulation derived from the Program Management Simulation Exercise (PMSE). DMS portrays the development and procurement of a missile system. However, the principal benefit derived by the player is not in the field of procurement. Rather, the ICAF student player is given the opportunigy to exercise many of the lessons learned throughout the ICAF curriculum. These include qualitative analysis; decision-making under varying conditions or risk; management of resources through the trade-off of such factors as time, cost, and performance; and so forth.
