Abstract : The intensity of the (00) beam diffracted from cleaved Zn and Be surfaces has been measured for a range of incident energy and angles. The surfaces are prepared by cleavage in vacuum at liquid N2 temperatures. The measurements are reported for rotation about the (1,1,-2,0) and (1,0,-1,0) axes. The intensity voltage curves are dependent on the axis of rotation. The results are compared with dynamical calculations using a delta function potential and assuming energy independent inelastic scattering. (Author)
