Abstract : An analysis of existing criteria for fatigue strength with asymmetrical loading cycles was conducted. It was shown that a universal criterion suitable for a description of the behavior of all materials is presently absent. Criteria of fatigue strength with a complex stressed state were analyzed and the possibility of their applicability for cases of the combination of a variable bend and biaxial static tension was shown. A criterion of fatigue strength which corresponds to the complex course of the experimental curves was proposed.
