Abstract : The article presents the results of experiments conducted to show the features of development of fatigue cracks in flat specimens of D16T material with a central opening acting as concentrator. The specimens were tested on a special installation by different types of pulsating cycles with load factor R = 0.6. The coefficient of cycle asymmetry was r = 0.1. The nature of the influence of the type of load cycle on the rate of crack development in a specimen was established. (Author)
