Abstract : ENT-35638-a-Ga, ENT-35639-a-Ga, ENT-35642-a-Ga which are candidate repellents, were evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for their potential to cause skin irritation. The data obtained served as a basis for making a recommendation concerning their potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds. It does not constitute approval for human volunteer testing. The interpretation of the three compounds is that they should be used only on human skin found by examination to have no abrasions or may be used as a clothing impregnant. However, if the compound might come in contact with abraded skin, a prophetic patch test should be conducted on human skin to determine primary irritation potential. (Author)
