Abstract : Pulsed nuclear spin echo techniques were used to investigate spin energy transfer processes at low temperatures. The cryogenic fluids and solids neon, krypton, and xenon were studied to determine electromagnetic quadrupolar interactions with phonons, coefficients of atomic diffusion, and the role of vacancies and other defects. Electron-coupled energy transfer interactions were studied in III-V compounds. (Author)
