Abstract : The procedure describes a method for evaluation of combat uniforms and protective equipment operational and functional performance characteristics. Identified supporting tests, facilities, and equipment required. Discusses test planning and preparation for tests. Provides procedures for physical characteristics, protection against agents, sizing, fitting, donning, doffing, functional suitability, leakage, water exposure, infrared reflectance, static electricity, filter gas life, launderability, storage, water immersion, transportability, human factors, reliability, durability, and maintenance evaluation.
