Abstract : The paper deals with the control theory of hyperbolic partial equations with boundary value controls. Hyperbolic equations describe propagation (wave) processes. Boundary value controls are motivated by practical considerations. In most physical systems with dispersed energy distributions, control must typically be applied on the boundary of the controlled medium. The author studies the archetype mathematical model of distributed hyperbolic systems, i.e., the wave equation with boundary value controls. (Modified author abstract)
