Abstract : The report summarizes all peak-particle-velocity measurements obtained during the high explosive detonations at Trinidad, Colorado, during 1970-71, and provides an empirical analysis of these velocities. Relationships are extablished that make possible predictions for this locality of peak particle velocity as a function of the explosive yield, the scaled depth of burial of the charges, and the distance between surface ground zero and the point of interest. These relationships were obtained from a statistical analysis of the measurements.
