Abstract : The unsteady Navier-Stokes equation for two-dimensional viscous incompressible flow in a box is solved by a finite difference marching technique. The upper surfaces of the box are assumed to be in contact with a plate oscillating in time. Although the finite difference marching technique is not new, its application appears to be. (Author)
