Abstract : Since the invention of the computer, more and more researchers have been analyzing signals in the discrete way. The reason lies in the simplicity of programing. In the note, the material covered is mostly concerned with a mini-computer, its uses in processing seismic data and the peripherals needed to process them. Also in the note, some pattern analysis results are shown in both time domain as well as in frequency domain. The window functions, namely Hanning, Hamming, and Blackman's window functions, are applied in the frequency domain analysis. Finally the recognition part, quadratic complexity is shown.
