Abstract : Aviation fuel (kerosene, gasoline) is highly electrified during passage along pipes and through filters. Charged fluid, filling a reservoir, is a source of an electrical field in a vapor-air space. If the magnitude of the field reaches disruptive strength, a spark discharge will occur. The discharge can be the cause of the ignition of the fuel. The article shows the calculated and graphic dependences, which make it possible to quickly evaluate the components of a three-dimensional electrical field in a vapor-air space an example of which is the TZ-16 fuel tank. The illustrated results may be used for any other reservoir configuration which does not differ significantly from rectangular.
