Abstract : SYNAP is a computer program developed to provide a mathematical modeling capability to the Air Force Weapons Laboratory (AFWL) system analysis code and a mathematical interface to the currently available circuit analysis codes. The program derives literal and/or numerical transfer functions as expanded ratios of polynomials of the Laplace transform variable S. It also provides AC, transient and sensitivity analysis for the transfer function. SYNAP greatly extends the capability of existing circuit analysis programs to solve larger and more complex circuit and a system analysis problems. The transfer functions derived can replace detailed piece-part topological circuits, thus enabling analyses to be performed on systems containing a larger number of circuits. (Author)
