Abstract : Research on two techniques is very briefly explored to study the simple encoding of signals. (1) A low-noise feedback channel was used to improve the performance of an analog communications scheme in the presence of additive noise in the forward path. (2) Quantization of monotone functions in one dimension and in many dimensions were explored and previous results were extended. (Modified author abstract)
