Abstract : The Triad satellite contains an experimental control system called DISCOS (Disturbance Compensation System) which is designed to counteract the nongravitational forces operating on the satellite - notably those caused by atmospheric drag and solar radiation. Using information obtained from flight data from the pulse duration and frequency of the DISCOS thrusters, the performance of the system is compared with that expected in a modelled environment. A significant bias force is found acting in the local vertical direction. (Author)
