The assumptions, applications, and drawbacks of each method are stated along with a discussion of the mechanics involved in the solution algorithms. An illustrative example is also presented to show the application of each technique. Finally, two tables are generated to aid in the selection of specific techniques corresponding to different conditions. These tables are intended only to direct the user to the method most likely to fit a given allocation problem. (Author)
