Abstract : The Department of Defense (DOD) is concerned about the effectiveness of acquisitions with 'mid-range' dollar values. In order to ascertain the effectiveness of a specific mid-range dollar value acquisition, the F-111 simulator acquisition was studied and analyzed. The report ascertains the effectiveness of the procurement of the F-111A simulator and comments on the strengths and weaknesses of the acquisition.
