Abstract : The report considers the irrotational flow of an inviscid, incompressible fluid about a class of two-dimensional bodies. These bodies are symmetrical about both their chord line and its perpendicular bisector. Their profile curves are straight lines in the region of the nose and tail. These straight portions are joined by curved portions along which the velocity is constant. The problem consists of finding the velocity distribution on the straight line part of the bodies, i.e., the wedge-shaped nose, and finding the shape of the curved part, i.e., the free streamline. This is done for fourteen values of the semi-wedge angle, ranging from 1.5 to 105 deg and for various values of the ratio of free-streamline velocity to free-stream velocity.
