Abstract : The authors study the interaction of the salts of metals (LiCl, LiBr, LiNO3, LiSCN, MgCl2, AlCl3, SrCl2, ZnCl2, CdCl2, and also HCl) with benzanilide C6H5COHNC6H5, taken as a model of an aromatic polyamide, poly-p-phenyleneterephthalamide (PPTP) in a solution of DMAC. The results obtained are compared with data on the synthesis of this polymer in the presence of the same salts.
