Abstract : The results of the current thermal theory of ignition can be successfully applied only for gases at rather low pressures and for solid condensed systems, where there is no natural convection. A description of the process of ignition of liquid systems requires consideration of the motion of the liquid, occurring due to natural convection. The paper is devoted to an approximate theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of ignition with consideration of heat- and mass transfer under conditions of natural convection.
