Abstract : It is proved that calcium ions have no direct influence upon fibrin polymerization, only the inactive to active form of fibrin monomer transition accelerated. No essential 'cancelling' by 0.115 M urea of the calcium influence on polymerization of active and inactive fibrin monomer form is found. Fibrinogen and its active fragments inhibit specifically the polymerization of active fibrin monomer. As in the case of the inactive form it is mainly true for the initial polymerization stages. The fibrin polymerization inhibitors--fibrinogen and its fragments are apparent to change the gel character, which takes place in the early polymerization stages.
