Abstract : An investigation has been conducted on binary alloys of titanium-nickel and titanium-molybdenum. Research size ingots were electron-beam melted and processed. The change in microstructure as affected by heat treatment and alloy content is discussed. Tensile and Charpy impact tests were used to compare structure with mechanical properties. Generally, in the systems investigated, strength increases and toughness decreases with alloy content. (Author)
