Abstract : KBPAK is a collection of Fortran programs designed to analyze, measure and observe the changes in the social network of a closed (or nearly closed) group of size less than about 120. Data are collected in the manner described by Bernard and Killworth (1973), hereinafter referred to as BK. It is then treated to produce a matrix catij, which represents the interaction pattern which a person labelled i has concerning the group. The algorithm for Catij is given. Catij is a new and powerful device for describing the social and communications structure of groups up to 120 in size. The program is detailed. (Modified author abstract)
