Abstract : The electron-optical converter contains a vacuum envelope, an electron-optical system, an output luminescing screen and a multi-layered photoemitter which consists of a core which is transparent in the visible range and absorbing in the, for example, long-wave range, an intermediate layer, which has transparency in the visible region of the spectrum with a semitransparent conducting layer and a semiconductor photocathode located on it. It is distinguished by the fact that for the purpose of expansion of the spectral range of registered radiation, the intermediate layer is made of a semiconductor material, for example, selenium, which changes its transparency under the effect of registered radiation.
