Abstract : Bacterial allergy was determined in 100 patients afflicted with recurrent aphthous stomatitis by means of skin-allergy tests and a response to microbe allergens in the form of leukocytosis. The authors observed an increased sensitivity to streptococcus (57%), staphylococcus (49%), E. Coli (47%), proteus (63%). In 79% of cases the leukocytolysis response coincided with the skin-test indices.
