Abstract : Considering the advantages of a twin-boom spreader for small grain bait, the All-Union Institute of Agriculture and Special Application of Civil Aviation in 1965 developed a new device for an AN-2 Aircraft. It insures a discharge of 0.5 to 2.0 kg/ha, and has an attachment for the reliable cut-off of baitspreading when turning off the apparatus. The aerial spreading is accomplished through twin booms, 6-7 m long, with a 23 m spacing between their outlets, which corresponds to a swath 50 m wide.
