Abstract : The report describes a computer program that estimates the accuracy of ephemeris determination based on various tracking station configurations. The user may specify any satellite orbital elements and up to one hundred tracking stations. Some approximations used in this version of the program yield more accurate results for nearly circular, low or moderate altitude orbits. In addition, the user may specify particular portions of the earth over which the ground track passes in order to determine mission accuracies over these areas only. The program estimates ephemeral accuracies, based on either ascending or descending nodal crossings, for the entire station net, as well as for missions with the removal of any station or pairs of stations. The program is a useful tool for the optimization of a tracking station network for a particular satellite orbit. (Author)
