Abstract : Fracture mechanics data have been compiled for high-strength alloys of the following alloy classes: Aluminum alloys, alloy steels, stainless steels, titanium alloys, nickel-base alloy (718). The lists of alloys for each of these classes are presented. Separate lists are provided for aluminum alloys in thick-section and thin-section forms because some alloys and/or tempers in this class are appropriate for only one of these forms. Furthermore, critical plane-strain stress intensity factors (Klc) and threshold stress intensity factors (Klscc) generally apply to thick-section components, while plane-stress and transitional stress intensity factors apply to thin-section or sheet products.
