Abstract : AI3-35972 (Pyridine, 1,2.3.6-tetrahydro-1-valeryl), AI3-35973 (Pyridine, 1-hexanoyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydro), AI3-35974 (Pyridine, 1-heptanoyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydro), AI3 -35975 (Pyridine, 1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-1-octanoyl) and AI3-35976 (Pyridine, 1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-1-nonanoyl) which are candidate repellents, were evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for their potential to cause skin irritation. The data obtained serves as a basis for making a recommendation concerning their potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds. (Author)
