Abstract : The report includes brief summaries of research activities under six major headings: Studies of sustained performance; psychophysiological and biomedical correlates; personality, social and subjective correlates; technical studies and supporting laboratory research; methodological and theoretical formulations; and liaison activities. This study assessed the interaction of 36 hour sleep loss and continuous work with man's diurnal cycle, and also represented the first major application of the recently completed Digital Equipment Corporation PDP-12A Experimental Control System (ECS).
