Abstract : The book discusses creep of polymers, based on the principle of addition (superposition), which was proposed by Boltzmann for the description of the elastic imperfections of solids. The first part of the book discusses the nonlinear integral equations of the isothermal theory. As a particular case there is considered the theory of creep of isotropic materials. The linear theory is set forth in the second part. This theory is extended into the area of nonlinear creep. In the third part of the book the general properties of the solution of the problems of nonlinear and linear theory of creep are discussed. Viscoelastic analogies and examples of the solution of concrete problems are given.
