Abstract : An oscillatory viscoelastometer was used to compare the rheological behavior of three composite propellants at low temperatures near their glass transition point. The efficiency of two surface-active agents has been established; an aziridine polyester showed better adhesion properties between the oxidizer particles and the elastomeric binder than an amine polyester; moreover, the two products combine to show synergism. The dynamic mechanical properties results and their effect on the interpretation of the mechanism of action of both compounds are discussed. (Author)
