Abstract : The purpose of the study was to investigate the application of modern estimation and control concepts to precision pointing and tracking problems. The investigation included the development of a unified estimator/controller design, the study of various performance measures, and the identification of critical areas for further investigation. The report describes the results of this precision pointing and tracking study.
