Abstract : The primary function of the program SAPGOA is to perform analytical aerotriangulation by the method of simultaneous weighted least-squares adjustment. It has the unique capability of using geodetic measurements as controls in the aerotriangulation solution. The program can accept as input the following types of observations: (1) photogrammetric observations: rectangular photo coordinates corrected for lens and film distortions, exterior orientation parameters of each photo, aircraft altitude above ground at each exposure, and ground controls in a rectangular ground coordinate system; and (2) geodetic observations: straight-line distances, geodetic azimuths, Laplace azimuths, horizontal angles, elevation differences, latitudes, longitudes and elevations. The geodetic measurements do not have to form an integrated geodetic network. (Author)
