Abstract : The investion belongs in the area of radio electronics and measuring technology and is intended for measurement of the distribution rate of the critical ionization front in a shock wave during shock tube experiments. A device is known for measurement of shock wave speed, based on digital measurement of the time passed by the constant phase of a SHF standing wave excited in a shock tube channel, a distance equal to half the length of the SHF wave in the channel of the device, which contains a generator, pick up and SHF detector, scaling circuit and registration block.
