Abstract : The concern of this project is for devices operating in the 2-50 MHz range, which includes IF filters for FM and TV receivers. The purpose of this project is to evaluate the reproducibility and 'tunability' of a series of surface acoustic wave transducers which have been produced by identical processing steps on a polycrystalline ceramic substrate. Each transducer is a uniform interdigital array patterned on a substrate of PZT (lead-zirconate-titanate). The degree of reproducibility is investigated.
