Abstract : The cause of high 'O' response was determined and methods to eliminate this problem have been developed. Testing of BEAMOS tube No. 7 shows a capability of 5.6 in bit spacing at a 10 mb/sec readout rate for an overall storage capacity of 1.7 x 10 to the 7th power bits. A preliminary demonstration of BEAMOS system operation involving a data link between two buildings, 10 miles apart, was held. This test demonstrated total digital 'in' and digital 'out' operation of the Memory Test System. (Author)
