Abstract : Turbidimetry (measurement of absorption of light by a cloudy suspension) of a salted-out protein was conducted by means of the FEK-M photoelectrocolorimeter. The measurement sample was taken after dissolution of each batch of ammonium sulfate. The magnitude of the batch was calculated so that the increment in salt concentration would not exceed 0.01 g/ml. In the process of successive saturation of the protein solution with salt there was a reduction in light transmission due to the appearance of the salted-out particles of protein. The magnitudes of the appropriate measurements were plotted on a graph against the concentration of salt in the solution.
