Abstract : Using model mixtures of ammonium perchlorate (APC) + polystyrene (PS) and potassium perchlorate (PPC) + PS, the effect of percentage of the addition of finely-dispersed and relatively coarsely-dispersed aluminum is studied in detail. Also studied is the effect of the relationship between the oxidizer and PS on the effectiveness of action of the aluminum addition.
