Abstract : In the entire process of production of biologicals the greatest attention is paid to measures which make it possible to carry out the technological process under sterile conditions. Laboratory experiments were carried out to determine the effect of various antibiotics and of furacilin (nitrofurazone) on the development of the griseofulvin producer and foreign microflora. The following antibiotics can be used for sterile fermentation of penicullium nigricans: levomycetin (10, 20, 40 units/mz), the potassium salt of penicillin (40, 60 units/mz), streptomycin (50 units/mz), and a mixture of penicillin and streptomycin, 50 units/mz each.
