Abstract : The primary objective of the work is to investigate the feasibility of injection locking a low-power, frequency-stable, CO2 master oscillator to a high-pressure, pulsed electric discharge CO2 laser. While the exploratory work is done at low pulse repetition rates (PRF), the laser design and experimental configuration is guided by the ultimate goal of high PRF operation. To this end, a secondary objective of the program is to investigate the problems associated with high PRF operation.
